Mindfulness. You see it mentioned everywhere, even Time Magazine. What used to be an obscure practice has gone mainstream. It promises a host of benefits and cures for what ails us, all with a scientific pedigree. There are claims that it can reduce our stress and anxiety. That it can make us more resilient in dealing of our crazy lives. That it can be supportive for a wide range of chronic diagnoses. That it can make us happy.

So what is this Mindfulness stuff? How does it work? What is some of the science behind it? What is it good for? And how do you incorporate it into your life?

In this webinar you will learn the core definition of mindfulness, experience several mindful practices and discover the how developing a practice can benefit you and those you serve.

Kristen Beard has practiced meditation and Iyengar Yoga for over 30 years and is certified in the healing arts of Reiki and Jin Shin Jyutsu. She is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instuctor trained at the Center for Mindfulness at University of Massachusetts Medical. She also teaches mindfulness to special populations including adolescents, seniors and memory care patients.
